Non-Porous Release Film

Airtech’s Dahlar® release film is a thin, non-porous material specially designed to prevent bonding with resin. Often used as the first barrier between the composite laminate and the rest of the vacuum bagging materials, the Non-Porous Release Film is designed to easily control the resin content of the laminate. With improved elongation and tear resistance, the Non-Porous Release Film can be used in conventional vacuum bagging, resin infusion and prepreg part manufacturing.

The solid, non-perforated film allows the resin to remain on the surface, creating a more resin rich laminate. One of the thinner release materials, the Non-Porous Release Film can conform to complex shapes and is suitable in vacuum bagging applications up to 285°F (141°C).
