ACP’s Carbon Fiber Unidirectional Sheets offer maximum tensile and bending stiffness along a single axis. They are manufactured by laying unidirectional carbon fiber prepreg so that all the carbon fibers run in the zero direction or parallel to the length of the part. This construction method makes our Carbon Fiber Unidirectional Sheets ideal as a flat material option for structural applications where minimum weight is essential or to add stiffness to almost any material such as fiberglass, foam, or balsa wood. In order to achieve maximum stiffness each sheet should be installed with proper fiber orientation.
Our proprietary Autoclave curing process produces the most consistent carbon fiber sheets possible. Manufactured using 100% real carbon fiber fabric pre-impregnated with superior epoxy resin, these sheets are cured at high temperatures and pressure to ensure a strong, rigid product that cannot be re-shaped after cured. Unlike wet layup, our Autoclave curing process consistently yields flat, lightweight sheets with minimal voids, waves or buildups.
