10.8 oz. Carbon Fiber 5-Harness Satin Fabric

The 10.8 oz. Carbon Fiber is a high strength, five harness (5HS) satin weave fabric woven from 6K carbon fiber strands (tow). The weave pattern creates a pliable fabric that easily conforms to contoured surfaces and compound curves while offering a highly decorative three-dimensional finish.

It is an excellent fabric for structural applications and builds up quickly. It offers fewer distortions and is easier to use than a twill weave. It produces a highly decorative three-dimensional finish.

It offers superior wet-out capability because it is sized with a coupling agent that provides a chemical bond between the carbon fiber and various resins. It is suitable for use in wet layup, vacuum bagging and resin infusion manufacturing and is compatible with polyester, vinyl-ester and epoxy resins.
